A weathered old man in a straw hat, with a grey moustache and round glasses. Wrinkles are topography: each one is a decision about where a long face folds after eighty years of weather.

The study focuses on restraint — fewer, deeper forms instead of noise. Pores come last and sparingly; at stylized realism, suggestion beats simulation.

Process

1. Map the big folding zones (brow, nasolabial, neck) before touching detail.
2. Layer wrinkles from large to small, never reversing the order.
3. Check the forms in a simple material first; if the face reads there, it will read in colour.
