Ember
About this piece
Ember is Sunny's quiet counterpart: a red-haired boy caught mid-thought, all warm skin and cool green eyes. Built as a study in restrained appeal — the performance is in the eyebrows, which do ninety percent of the acting.
Red hair against teal clothing is the whole color script, so the sculpt stays calm and lets the palette talk. A soft, almost-flat smile keeps him approachable without tipping into mascot territory.
Process
- Design the brow shapes on paper; they carry the entire expression.
- Keep skin tones warm and shadows cool for the ember-glow effect.
- Test with a three-quarter rim light before calling the look done.
