Wren & Warren

About this piece

Wren is an inquisitive young detective with a magnifier and more questions than patience; Warren is a white rabbit in a mustard scarf who would prefer a quieter day. The study presents both characters together, built from silhouette studies to a clear final presentation.

The pair works through contrast: copper curls and a warm plum coat against soft white fur. Small differences in gaze, posture and scale keep the two readable in a single shared scene.

Process

1. Match the designs in three orthographic passes before adding surface detail.
2. Build the expression range early so neither character waits on the other.
3. Run both characters through squash-and-stretch checks before calling the study done.
